Rather Unique Art

The ink Art of J.E Rather is unique in many ways.  Rather considers his work a journey into the unknown, an adventure of  discovery, for himself as well as the viewer. Sometimes the drawings are nothing more than unusual designs. Sometimes they turn out to be metaphors for life. Sometimes they portray objects in quirky, mysterious, often comical ways.

Rather invites his viewers to employ their own perspectives and find their own interpretations of his work, and from time to time he will allow them to actually suggest titles for various pieces.

His fondest wish is for the viewer to find as much enjoyment in the viewing as he finds in the drawing.
